Hailin Su is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University, USA. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree in Genetics from Ocean University of China in 2013, he promptly joined the Animal Breeding and Genetics group at Iowa State University. His research efforts are primarily focused on advancing genomic evaluation programs to enhance the genetic improvement of animal populations. Notably, he is involved in projects related to genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and genomic prediction, utilizing single-marker analysis, DNA sequence information, and haplotypes. Hailin is also skilled in imputation and phasing of genomic data obtained from genotyping panels with varying densities, along with estimating genetic parameters and variance components. In collaboration with the National Beef Cattle Evaluation Consortium (NBCEC) of the United States, he has successfully implemented genomic selection technology into genetic evaluation programs for several US beef cattle breeds, working with the American Hereford Association and American Simmental Association.

Animal Science

Dr. Harifara Rabemanolontsoa is a scientist and researcher at Kyoto University, jointly hired by a leading Japanese company in the chemical, energy, and material sectors. As a result, she participates in a collaborative research program between industry and academics to create innovative technologies for the creation of functional and sustainable biomaterials. After completing her postdoc at Kyoto University, she earned her Ph.D. in energy science and began working as an assistant professor. In order to fully value biomass, Dr. Rabemanolontsoa conducts multidisciplinary research, with a focus on the production of biomaterials, bioenergy, and biochemicals. Additionally, she hopes to connect the ideas of biomaterials and biofuels for high-value biorefineries.

Dr. Abbas Amini holds the position of Associate Professor at the Australian College of ACK and Western Sydney University, where he focuses on cutting-edge subjects in the fields of bio, nano, modern materials, energy, and high-tech industries. His academic journey began with an associate degree in Mathematics, followed by a BEng and MEng, and ultimately culminated in a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Throughout his career, Dr. Amini has been actively involved in both academia and industry, contributing his expertise to institutions in Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, and Kuwait. Notable among his affiliations are the University of Melbourne, Deakin University, Monash University, Western Sydney University, and ACK.
